Angelsword Health Centre came into
being in January 2001. It’s predecessor was a
home based Practice which had rapidly expanded and
was literally “bursting at the seams”.
Cars were often gridlocked in the small parking area,
the bottles of herbs had been relegated to under the
examination couch, all available space in the original
cupboard set aside for supplements was occupied, and
new additions had taken up residence on kitchen shelves.
It
was a difficult decision choosing a name for the new
Practice. As it happened I was reading the book “Bush
Flower Healing” by Ian White at the
time and I came across Angelsword.
The following paraphrases Ian’s observations: Angelsword is a native to
all states of Australia. It is drought and frost tolerant and is often found
in subalpine forest. It prefers light soil and an open sunny position. Viewed
from one aspect the purple Angelsword flower is sword shaped like a Fleur de
Lis, from the opposite way it resembles a Merlin like monk in purple robes. The
image is accentuated by the yellow stamen marking the third eye area. Angelsword
brings out and enhances the quality of discernment, allowing a person to cut
through with the spiritual sword of discernment to find what is their own spiritual
truth. It clears and removes confusion and misinformation and allows us to perceive
with our heart and inner knowing.
It establishes clear communication
with your higher self. Both Angels-word and Angel-sword
are totally appropriate. As the Angels-word it does
allow you to hear the words of the angels and also
the word of your own angel-your higher self or inner
guidance. The Angel-sword cuts off and removes from
the psyche mischievous or negative entities or other
sources that interfere with reception of clear communication
from your own higher self, or who attempt to feed in
false information. Another aspect of Angelsword is
that it helps you access and retrieve gifts and skills
which you have developed in former lifetimes.
Once I had digested all that Angelsword represented,
I discussed it with my partner, Marion. We knew that the Practice would bloom under the Angelsword banner.
With Ian White’s nod, it was full steam ahead. The Practice did indeed
thrive with a current patient base of over 9000 patients. At times the waiting
list for new patients has been up to 6 months, and on average I would see 5-6
new patients every day. Most would return initially on a monthly basis, but in
some cases a patient would not reappear for 5 or 6 years, stating that their
original problem was “fixed” and help was now needed for a new set
of symptoms.
It is now March 2009. A decision to relocate to Tasmania
in a few months time will see Angelsword now based
from this new website. It is my intent that Angelsword
will continue to offer help and hope to many patients
who are seeking a new and different way of addressing
their health problems, one that is non invasive and
seeks to define the underlying cause, whether on a
physical, emotional or spiritual basis.
This approach
is heart based and aimed at assisting in the
evolution of humanity, with humility, respect and compassion.
